CERT Traffic Incident Stress Debriefing (MI)

HOPE was asked to assist the CERT's Critical Incident Debriefing Team to provide comfort to several agency members who responded to a traffic fatality. Kayak and I greeted the attendees when they arrived. This set a positive tone for the afternoon's debriefing. Kayak approached every member at different times during the debriefing. A few even quietly called her over to them. She also chose to lie very close to two members who did not object when I asked if Kayak was too close because she was almost lying on their feet. However, this did allow the two to pet her even more. Once the debrief was over, a few still interacted with Kayak.
