Critical Incident Stress Debriefing

The Eastern Upper Peninsula Crisis Response Team, EUPCRT, held a debriefing at a police station as the following a homicide. Members from the city police department, dispatch department and detective agency were present. I am a member of this team, but in this case I represented HOPE-AACR, which I have done with cases before. All of the members met Ischgl and interacted with her prior to the debriefing. During the debrief, Ischgl laid in the middle of the circle for anyone to feel free to pet her. Afterward many became engaged with her once again. Comments of liking dogs and having their own were shared beforehand and after the debriefing.
