Brenda Ransom and Raven have been a HOPE team since 2016. On June 4th, Brenda made the difficult decision to send Raven to the Rainbow Bridge. There was a family pet cremation center two and one-half hours from Sault Ste. Marie, but Brenda did not want to make the trip there with Raven. Julia and I offered to take Raven. Out of appreciation for the work Raven and Brenda have done for HOPE, I felt that Raven should be accompanied on her last deployment by HOPE teams. Julia and I, along with Kayak and Ischgl, who was a classmate of Raven's, took Raven on her last ride. The staff at the Family Pet Cremation Center in Gaylord, MI, were wonderful and treated Raven with care and reverence. We all said goodbye to Raven in a specially designed pet grief room.
