HOPE Presentation to Livonia and Canton CERT

HOPE AACR was invited to make a presentation to the CERT members from Livonia and Canton areas at the Livonia Police Department. Daena was instrumental in making the arrangements with the CERT Coordinator. Our presentation consisted of a 44 slide PowerPoint along with a door prize right after a break mid-way through the presentation. The winner with the lucky number received a 9" Gumby toy (stressing that our group is always flexible). This helped to break up a long presentation and keep it informal. We allowed time at the end of the presentation to answer all questions. We made contacts with key personnel and gave them a tri-fold brochure, including the DHS CERT in Livonia. We were also able to provide information for two individuals interested in pursuing certification with their dogs to become therapy dogs and maybe HOPEfuls one day. Everyone attending received a trading card from Oliver and Kismit with HOPE's website on the reverse.
