Kalamazoo County Response Consortium End of Year Meeting (MI)

Start Date: 12/19/2019

We've been attending these bimonthly meetings since meeting the coordinator, Adam Castle, at a Michigan VOAD meeting in Grand Rapids in September. The KCRC is a growing multi-agency group (similar to a VOAD/COAD but with government entities being represented as well). The group has been very open and welcoming to HOPE dogs. As an organization, HOPE was asked to sign on as a member agency for 2020. The commitment is modest and will allow greater exposure for HOPE, including being listed on the website: https://gryphon.org/services/community-initiatives/kalamazoo-county-response-consortium/. We were also specifically asked by Mike Corfman, Director of the Kalamazoo County Office of Emergency Management, to take part in a May 14 drill at the Kalamazoo Airport; this will be an opportunity for other HOPE teams as well.
