Prepare Fair 2019 Holland Michigan

Start Date: 09/14/2019

Description:

The event was held at the Walmart in Holland, MI. The goal of the Prepare Fair was to educate the public on how to prepare for emergencies, meet local first responders, and explore emergency response vehicles. We arrived and set our table and tri-fold up under a nice tent that Susan brought. It was a windy day out and we were unable to set out any other materials. Many other agencies were present such as the Red Cross, Salvation Army, several areas of Michigan State Police, FEMA, local firefighters and other first responders, even a medical helicopter flew in. Well over 100 visitors were present to experience this event; it was quite difficult to determine how many were there due to our location and other booths present. The dogs were quite popular, as usual, and did very well, even with the helicopter landing and taking off. There were other working dogs present but we were set up at a nice distance from them. Those that stopped by were every interested in what we did and several may have been interested in becoming future Hopefulls; cards were handed out to those.
