University of Oregon teacher training Crisis Prevention / Intervention workshop
Start Date: 2019/09/18Description: Crisis Prevention / Intervention training workshop for 80 University of Oregon elementary and secondary education students. Topics covered included ALICE (active shooter) program, the effects of stress on students and staff and stress mitigation. The presenters were familiar with HOPE canine teams and requested them to be present since the topics covered could be triggering topics for some individuals attending the workshop. A presentation about HOPE concluded the workshop.
