Coast Guard/EPA Equipment Demonstration (MI)

Description:

The U.S. Coast Guard and EPA organized an event where numerous federal, state, county, local, private, and non-governmental agencies had the opportunity to demonstrate pollution control equipment and to set up display booths exhibiting various company capabilities. HOPE was asked to attend to share its value in the event of an environmental disaster. This drill was also conducted in tandem with the meeting of the Northern Michigan Area Committee, a committee consisting of all the relevant players in an environmental disaster in the Northern Michigan and the Eastern Upper Peninsula. HOPE canines Parker and Ischgl were a big hit and we had an opportunity to recruit potential future HOPE teams and team leaders.
