Laguna Beach HS student death

On November 5th HOPE was asked to provide support to the staff and students of Laguna Beach High School due to the death of a 14 year old student. The OCDE CRN asked us to staff the "Counseling Room" and visit the students class rooms. On arrival we visited with Administration staff and teachers. We were then escorted to the counseling room at which time the dogs visited with a few students and staff. The counselors then escorted the dogs to different class rooms. At lunch time, our dogs were requested to stage in the quad area so all the students could visit with the dogs. The dogs did an awesome job of dealing with all the students and distractions that come with a throng of people. After lunch, we visited with students in the physical education department. At about 12:30 pm, we returned to the counseling room and visited with some special education students. At about 1:30 pm all teams left.
