At the request of the American Red Cross via WI-VOAD, HOPE teams were invited to support relief agencies at the two-day Oconto County WI Multi-Agency Relief Center in Mountain, WI. The MARC was set-up to assist local residents following several tornadoes and a Macro-Burst that devastated the area. We set-up in the center of the room with all the agencies surrounding us. This set-up enabled the residents requesting aid to visit with the comfort dogs while awaiting services. It also enabled us to visibly entertain children allowing their parents the opportunity to meet with the individual agencies to receive information and assistance.
