Parks Youth Ranch

Description: Parks Youth Ranch is an emergency shelter providing temporary housing for the foster care youth. The Occupational Therapist, Theresa, is currently developing a program to help residents develop resilience and skills to help them navigate adulthood. Her focus is to have the dogs to provide comfort to the dogs during this "crisis" period for the children and staff. We met with the children in their main living area and the kids and staff where able to be with Pickle and several opened up about their history.
