Conneaut Valley Middle School

Description: Middle school student was killed in an ATV accident on May 31,2021. Two other students were involved in the accident, as well as a 17 year old who was driving. Because the school is smaller, the students involved in the accident were known by many fellow classmates. On the first day (6/1) we had approximately 180 encounters, on the second day (6/2) we had about 75-90 encounters. We were stationed in the library as well as the guidance office. Many students spent a large part of the day with the dogs. One of the students involved in the accident returned to school on 6/2. When I first met her she was very withdrawn and quiet. After being in the presence of the dogs , she opened up and came back several times.
