The Coon Rapids Love My Pet Fair is an event that seeks to present information, resources, and products that contribute to a healthy pet experience. The focus is on resources to help dog owners who may be facing the loss of housing, emergencies or disasters. It was a good opportunity to educate attendees about HOPE and to make agency contacts. One of the exhibitors I connected with was Anoka County's AKC Pet Disaster Relief team, who provide a safe, healthy environment for animals during disasters. I learned that they are one of two AKC Pet Disaster Relief teams in MN. The second team is located near Duluth MN.
