Mental Health subcommittee under Mass Care's Committee, Montana
Start Date: 04/02/2020Description:
9:30-10:30 a.m. – Mental Health Team mtg. This TEAM is really functioning well and collectively members are bringing their own professional suggestions/updates to each meeting, those discussed and updates are indicating that this TEAM has the beginning of a strong infrastructure for mental health needs for both our 1st Response folks as well as our community. Area providers are more organized and on board with efforts to work with the general public as well. Michael Foust requested a need for surgical masks and goggles…Mary referred him to Rick Larson, Salvation Army. 211/Help Center is continuing to triage calls for mental help support and Michael Foust and his colleagues are just about ready to open a “behavioral health urgent care center” facility for a few folks deemed AT HIGH RISK. There will also be a virtual assessment capability for folks needing a strong support response.
OUR NEXT MEETING WILL BE THURSDAY, APRIL 9 AT 9:30 a.m. via a Zoom link provided by the Help Center.
